Don’t you just love songs that keep you humming long after you’ve heard it? This song is like that for me. “Will You Still Love Me” was written by Gerry Goffin and Carole King, two of my favorite writers. The Shirelles originally recorded the song in the 60’s and took it to #1 on Billboards Hot 100 in 61. This recording is the 3rd song on the project I’m working on. Singing songs originating as far back as the 30’s onto today. I adore every song we chose and hope that you’ll enjoy my versions as well. Thanks for watching :) xoxo, Jacqueline Jax

I wish I had written this song. It has such a beautiful message of loving someone with honest devotion. “To Make you feel my love” was originally written and recorded by Bob Dylan. I also really like Garth Brook’s version most remembered from the movie “Hope Floats”. Do you remember the movie? This recording is the 5th song on the music project I’m working on. Singing songs originating as far back as the 30’s onto today. Check out the other video’s on youtube (Click here) and thanks for watching 🙂

Some songs just get better with age. “One of a kind” was written by writer/producer Billy Sherrill for Tammy Wynette in the 60’s. She was such a beautiful lady and has always influenced my music. I was lucky to spend time with her and Billy before she died years ago in Nashville. They had amazing stories to tell and I loved every minute of it. This recording is the 6th song on the project I’m working on. Singing songs originating as far back as the 30’s onto today. I adore every song we chose and hope that you’ll enjoy my versions as well. Thanks for watching 🙂 Xoxo, Jacqueline

Turn Me On” was written by Nashville hall of fame songwriter, John D. Loudermilk. The song was first recorded by Mark Dinning in 1961 and then recorded by Nina Simone, who I’ve always loved for her sultry sound and unique delivery. I really like the rhythm of the music and lyrics. Just a great reminder that simple can be so effective. This recording is the 4rd song on the project I’m working on. Singing songs originating as far back as the 30′s onto today. I adore every song we chose and hope that you’ll enjoy my versions as well. Thanks for watching 🙂

There is something about this song that just relaxes me. I don’t know if it’s the melody or the lyrics but since I first heard it in 1999, I had always intended on recording it. The song was written by singer/songwriter Jesse Harris & the Ferdinandos (Tony Scherr, Tim Luntzel, and Kenny Wollesen). They have 3 terrific albums on Verve Records. When I was asked to do some recordings for a new web site launching next year, I was really glad that it fit in with the project. This new venture has me singing songs originating as far back as the 30’s onto today. I adore every song we chose and hope that you’ll enjoy my versions as well. Thanks for watching 🙂

  • Love that song too. It makes it all right to be who you are, all your hopes and dreams and fears and failures, along with the secrets that you keep, and the only excuse you need to tell yourself or anybody else is “Don’t Know Why”, but one thing is for sure, my true destiny with definitely reveal itself. And you do that song so perfectly, and you look so pretty. WOW, you should do this more!!

Kevin Krohn :: You did “i don’t know why” better than Jesse Harris ….just sayin….

When I first heard “If You Came Back From Heaven” I was overwhelmed by the lyrics of this beautiful song. Written by Lori Morgan in memory of her husband. Every once in a while you come across a song that helps to mend our hearts. We have all lost people who were very special to us. I dedicate this song to all my close friends who have lost their love ones. Their memories live on in our hearts forever. Embrace them, keep them close, and hold them one more time. With love, Jax
